Orana Education and Training Co-operative Ltd (OEC) is a community based, not-for-profit organisation that has been part of Western NSW since 1976. We were established in Dubbo in response to a need for training and education resources and facilities.

We have a strong commitment to supporting disadvantaged and Indigenous communities and a proud history of working closely with people in remote and regional western NSW - from Wellington through to the Queensland boarder, including Gulargambone, Nyngan and Coolabah.  We own Carlton House at 212 Darling Street, Dubbo which is the site of the original education and training centre.

We are committed to effectively engage with and support these local communities, particularly where employment and education is concerned, largely through the provision of our OEC Scholarship Fund. We can see many flow-on effects in rural and remote Australia when people are meaningfully employed and pursue an education.

Orana Education & Training Co-Operative Ltd

SCHOLARSHIP FUND

With a focus on breaking the cycle of disadvantage through education, the Orana Education and Training Co-Operative (OEC) has announced another scholarship fund after its successful implementation in previous years.

In a move aimed at addressing the financial barriers that restrict access to education and employment for disadvantaged country students, $10,000 per year of study will be granted to a student from the Orana region in a bid to close the gap in tertiary education affordability in rural NSW.

The fund is open to TAFE apprentices and trainees, as well as people studying at a university.
